OBJECTIVE: To learn about how to be organized and how the online school is organized.
INSTRUCTION
First, it is critical that you organize your time to be successful in the online school. This means determining when you are going to do your school work each day. As you heard in the interview, if you take six online courses, you need to set aside six (6) hours per day to do your course work.
To get yourself organized, download this attached calendar or this one this one in pdf and save it to your computer (you can either type on this calendar or create one of your own).
Now, type out your "typical" school week on the calendar (you'll see an example for you). If you're not sure of your courses, that let's imagine you have six courses named: English, math, science, history, PE, and elective. You need to show how you will complete 5 hours a week for each of these courses (5 days a week X 6 courses = 30 hours).
Second, read through and click on the different websites listed below.
Other websites used by the online school are listed below:
Moodle is where you will find all of your classes. It is a password-protected course management system that includes all class assignments that need to be completed, discussion forums, grades and many other class related tools. When logging into Moodle, you should see all of your classes on the upper left side. Students need to be logging into Moodle every day and clicking into every class by noon!
